Grief and Loss Counseling in Texas
Grief isn’t linear. It doesn’t follow a timeline, and it doesn’t look the same for everyone. If you’re navigating the pain of loss, whether it’s the death of a loved one, the end of a meaningful relationship, a life transition, or the loss of something deeply valued, you deserve a space that honors your experience and supports your process.
What Grief Counseling Is
Grief counseling provides a compassionate, supportive environment where you can explore your feelings, make sense of your loss, and find ways to carry your pain in a way that feels authentic and sustainable. This isn’t about “fixing” grief — it’s about moving through it with support, meaning, and dignity.
I offer grief and loss counseling through secure telehealth across Texas, with limited in‑person sessions in San Marcos. Evening and weekend appointments are available to accommodate your schedule. All counseling services are provided by a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate practicing under clinical supervision in accordance with Texas licensure and ethical standards.
Who Can Benefit From Grief Counseling
Grief can show up in many forms. You might benefit from counseling if you’re experiencing:
Overwhelming sadness or emptiness
Guilt, regret, or “should‑have” thinking
Difficulty concentrating, sleeping, or engaging in daily activities
Emotional numbness or shock
A sense of identity loss or uncertainty about the future
Lingering anger, resentment, or avoidance
Strained relationships related to your loss
These responses are common, and they matter. You don’t have to carry them alone.
My Approach to Grief Counseling
My work with grief and loss is rooted in empathy, respect, and attunement to your unique experience. In our time together, I focus on:
Providing a safe, nonjudgmental space to share your story
Helping you understand common grief responses so they feel less isolating
Supporting you in identifying coping tools that fit your life
Honoring your attachment to what you’ve lost while helping you move forward with intention
There’s no “right way” to grieve. Each person’s journey is shaped by their relationships, experiences, values, and cultural context. My role is to walk beside you with care, helping you understand what you’re feeling and supporting your movement toward acceptance, resilience, and meaning.
